Understanding Who Works for Whom

  很長一段時間個人不喜歡閱讀有關領導的文件，因為事實上太多的領導人說的和做的完全是兩回事，所謂的表裡不一是也。職場上多少是爾虞我詐，領導者說的冠冕堂皇，骨子裡又是為自己的私利，這例子不勝枚舉。

  也常思考，很多國外有很多非典型政治人物，是政治素人，而且有一定年紀，或許經過時間的淬鍊，在某方面有很好的成就，換跑道為的是為作更廣闊的服務，可以將不同領域的經驗，作更多的貢獻。

  今日是國中教育會考第二天，孩子們即將完成考試，第二堂考試後，回到辦公室，拿起「LEADING MATTERS」一書，開始閱讀此書時，有些排斥，雖然書上寫得非常美好，但是實務上，很多領導人並非如此。今天，用不同心境閱讀，告訴自己：此刻，效法作者JohnL.Hennessy，當你放空一切時，領導就是服務。我願因我的努力帶領，讓組織、讓成員更美好，更成功。

  領導的重要任務是：服務，幫助學校、教師、學生提高效率和效能，用此思考模式，畫出的組織結構圖就是倒金字塔，自己坐在的金字塔的頂點就在底部，支撐著其餘部分。扮演僕人領導的角色，關注學校和師生的成長與發展。再次告訴自己：『不要因為喜歡這個職位而喜歡這份工作，或者這份工作所帶來的利益或權力。接受這份工作，是因為想為教師、同事和學生服務。因為這才是我工作的意義，幫助學生和同仁成功，促使學校發展。』

  我將努力做好服務，確保學校順利進行。其實，自己是無法創造成功的，自己的成功取決於幫助學校的其他所有成員獲得成功。我相信，擔任領導角色，如果只是邁向個人目標，累積更多的頭銜、薪資，這非此刻的我，我希望因為我的參與，學校有更好的聲譽。這才是真正的成功。

成語故事之一

貪得無厭(Insatiable)

楔子：

  最近讀英文故事，嘗試練習中翻英；但是寶珠說：你應該練習英翻中，否則你還是中文思考。

  想想也是，嘗試翻譯成語故事，雖然還是參考資源，不過很認真地試著翻譯，再糾正比對，今天是第一篇：貪得無厭(Insatiable)。

  很有趣，也是心得寫照，在學習英文路徑上，我應該貪心一點，否則無法進步，時間是不會等我的，(自我惕勵)。

1. Insatiable

One day a man walking on the road met a celestial, who happened to be an old friend of his.

Seeing that his life was hard, the celestial pointed with his finger at a brick on the roadside, which turned into a gold brick at once. And he gave it to the man.

But the man was not satisfied. The celestial point again with his finger at a large stone lion at the gate, which at once turned into a golden lion. And he gave it to him too. But the man still complained it was not enough.  

The celestial asked him:”My friend, how much will be enough for you? What should I do to satisfy you?”

The man hummed and hawed and said:”I want your finger.”

1.貪得無厭

一天，有個人走在路上遇到一個神仙。原來，這個神仙還是他的老朋友呢。

神仙看到他生活很困難，就用手指朝路邊的一塊磚頭一指，磚頭立即變成了金磚。神仙把金磚送給了他。

他並不滿足。神仙又把手指一指，門前的一尊大石獅馬上變成了一尊金獅，也送給了他。可是他仍舊嫌少。

神仙問他:“朋友，你要多少才能滿足?我怎麼做你才滿意?”

他支支吾吾地說:“我想要你的這個手指頭!”

清晨頌歌

  上班途中哼著Shalala lala這首歌曲，學校正在推展校園英文歌曲，每學年都有主題，趁著這時光重溫年輕歡唱的感覺，除了欣賞也試著開口，好久沒唱歌了，喉嚨雖已生鏽，但熱望仍在，願和孩子同步重溫兒時美好時光，今天是第三首Shalala alal，今年度有六首，期待與孩子歡樂同行。

 校園歡唱

大榮本學期開始校園裡推動英文歌曲，每學年2首英語歌曲，校園充滿著歡樂歌聲，跟著學生憶起學習，樂趣無窮，期待和學生沉浸在青春、活力的生命律動中，A Little Love是一年級歌曲，孩子歡唱，我也分享了喜悅。
