My Education My Future

   我們或許要反覆運算才能解出一道數學題，或許我們閱讀一段文字要反覆閱讀才能理解它，或許我們的論文要修改好幾次才符合標準。不要害怕提問，不要害怕求助，求助不是弱者的表現，它是力量的表，因為他表明你有勇氣承認自己的不足，這樣做會使自己學到新東西。確認一為你信賴的成年人，例如父母、祖父母、老師、教練或輔導員，請他們幫助你一計畫達成目標。

   當你艱苦奮鬥，當你沮喪，當你覺得所有人都放棄你，但是你不能放棄你自己，因為當你放棄你自己時，你就放棄你自己的生命。書寫偉大歷史的不是在艱難時刻放棄自己的人，而是堅持不懈，加倍努力的人，他們愛自己促使他們全力以赴。

   今天我們要問自己，能做出甚麼貢獻？能解決甚麼問題？能發現甚麼事物？我希望每個人盡心做自己應做的事，我期待每個人都有成就，請不要讓我們失望，不要讓你的家人失望，更重要的不要讓你自己失望。你們要成為我們的驕傲。

 

  We might have to do a math problem a few times before we get it right. We might have to read something a few times before we understand it. We definitely have to do a few drafts of a paper before it’s good enough to hand in. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength because it shows you have the courage to admit when you don’t know something, and that then allows you to learn something new. So find an adult that you trust-a parent, a grandparent or teacher, a coach or counselor-and ask them to help you stay on track to meet your goals.

  And even when you’re struggling, even when you’re discouraged, and when you feel like other people have given up on you, don’t ever give up on yourself, because when you give up on yourself, you give up on your life. The story of history isn’t about people who quit when things got tough. It’s about people who kept going, who tried harder, who loved herself too much to do anything less than their best.

  Today we want to ask all of myself, what’s your contribution going to be? What problems are you going to solve? What discoveries will you make? I hope you to put your best effort into everything you do. I expect great things from each of you. So don’t let us down. Don’t let your family down. Most of all, don’t let yourself down. Make us all proud.
